Cathy Day has been teaching at Ball State since 2010. She is the author of two books: Comeback Season (Free Press 2008), a work of nonfiction, and The Circus in Winter (Harcourt 2004), a collection of linked stories about her hometown of Peru, Indiana. She served as an English department administrator from 2014-2019 and brought much of that experience to bear when she proposed “Compass Advantage” to CSH Dean Maureen McCarthy in 2019.
