Group and school tours of Christy Woods are offered throughout the year. Tours generally last between 45 minutes to one hour and are tailored to fit your educational requests. All programs align with appropriate state and national standards. Topics can highlight greenhouses, woods, wetlands, prairies, etc. Explore the lesson plans on our website to select topics or activities you may want to be included in your program.

To schedule a tour, please contact Environmental Education Program Coordinator Erica Forstater or use this form.

If your school or group cannot do an in-person field trip, we are happy to work with you in other ways, such as a virtual field trip, a meet-the-scientist Zoom call, or through our downloadable resources. This website serves as a link between our resources and our community. Here you will find photos, videos, games, and lesson plans that you can use in your classrooms (both real and virtual). If you need content on a topic that is not currently listed or have a fantastic idea you would like to share, please email Erica Forstater at elforstater@bsu.edu and we can work together to create the resources you need. If you’re interested in a “virtual” field trip or a “meet a scientist” program, please email Erica for that as well!
