Watch our “Let’s Learn About Birds” video on our educational Youtube page to learn about the anatomy of birds and a typical life cycle, and what a bird needs to survive. After watching, complete the two (2) worksheets and the outdoor activity (optional). Please email Erica at elforstater@bsu.edu to request worksheet answer keys.

- Outdoor Activity: Take a walk outside (with parental supervision) and look for places that a bird could meet its habitat needs. Examples could include flowers as a source of food, or a tree as shelter.
Indiana State Science Standards:
- 3.LS.3 Construct an argument that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction.
- 3.LS.4 Construct an argument that some animals form groups that help members survive.
