Who We Are
Psyche is an undergraduate, peer-reviewed academic journal established by the Department of Psychological Science at Ball State University in 2021. The goal of Psyche is to provide undergraduate psychology students with resources and information about the publication process, as well as a place to show off the fruits of their own research. Psyche is run by hardworking undergraduate editors who want to learn more about their field and are guided by knowledgeable faculty. This ensures that each publication contains well-written, meritorious papers, and that all authors receive helpful feedback on how to ensure that their papers reach this standard.
We accept papers from students’ psychology-related endeavors, including research capstone courses, honors theses, independent research projects, supervised research projects, and research methods term papers, among others.
Psyche is devoted to the publication of articles (experimental, correlational, theoretical, expository/review) which enhance our understanding of a wide range of psychological processes. Submissions can address topics in any area of psychology.
A wide variety of formats are accepted for paper submission, including full articles and brief articles.
Psyche operates a single-blind peer review policy. Submitted manuscripts will be initially appraised by an editor, and if found suitable for further consideration, the manuscript will be peer reviewed by Psyche-affiliated undergraduate reviewers.
