About Ball State University Singers
For over 50 years, the Ball State University Singers have been entertaining audiences through their songs of faith, hope, laughter, and love. Their performances have touched the lives of audience members, both young and old.

How We Got Our Start
In 1964, founding director Don Neuen proposed the title of “University Singers” to Dr. Robert Hargreaves and later that year, the group held auditions and the Ball State University Singers were born.
How We Got Our Start
In 1978, the Bob Hope Collegiate Talent Search judged the Ball State University Singers to be the nation’s Number One Entertainment Group. Along the way, the star-struck Ball State University students performed with entertainment notables Red Skelton, Lawrence Welk, Rich Little, Lorne Green, Dionne Warwick, Jimmy Durante, Liza Minnelli and Olivia Newton-John.
How We Got Our Start
In 2010, the Ball State University Singers were featured as one of the top Show Choirs in the nation on NBC’s TODAY. then, in 2012, traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to compete in the World Choir Games and was named the World’s Number One Collegiate Entertainment Ensemble. Later that year, the Ball State University Singers took the stage in Guangzhou, China for an international competition and awarded a Platinum Medal for their performance.
