On Nov 1, 2024, the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Faculty and Staff Association at Ball State University hosted a vibrant celebration in honor of Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights. The event drew a warm and lively crowd of faculty, students, staff, and their families, all gathered to share in the festivities.
The celebration featured an exciting array of cultural performances and interactive activities. Attendees were captivated by an ancient Chinese face-changing performance, showcasing a traditional art form known for its quick and mystifying mask transformations. Guests also enjoyed participating in Taichi and martial arts sessions, which offered hands-on experiences in these iconic practices.
