The Ball State Backen Library and the AAPI Faculty and Staff Association have joined hands to commemorate Asian Cultural Heritage Month in May 2023. Together, they are collaborating to organize a four-week book exhibition at the library, starting from April 17th and ending on May 12th. The exhibition will showcase a diverse collection of books on Asian Americans, with a focus on their experiences and contributions to society. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain knowledge and learn more about the rich and vibrant Asian culture.
Dr. Jun Xu, the present president of AAPI at Ball State, is scheduled to deliver a talk on April 20th, from 2-3 PM, at the Ball State Backen Library, in room BL104. The title of his talk is “Model Minority, Perpetual Sojourner, or Targeted Laborer? The Past, Present, and Prospect of Asian Americans.” It is an excellent opportunity to learn about the past, present, and future of the Asian American community and gain a deeper understanding of their experiences.
Hope to see you there!
