The AsPIRE grants programs support the development and implementation of faculty research and creative interests, generally with a goal of providing the starting point to a line of research or creative activity that will transition to external funding support to continue or expand the reach of the work. The AsPIRE grant programs are curated and managed by Sponsored Programs Administration, and the Research Design Studio was approached to examine data sources related to ASPIRE to address relevant questions on the impact, utility, and efficacy of the programs.  

Currently, the RDS is addressing the question in the available data by identifying those faculty who applied for AsPIRE grants, and if those same staff were successful in obtaining external funding.
