The Prism Project
a performing arts program for children with exceptionalities

Our Purpose
There is a lack of programming for children with exceptionalities in East Central Indiana, we are here at Ball State to provide a space for those children to shine! Most programs for youth offered in our community are not physically, developmentally or cognitively appropriate for children with learning differences.
Many students with learning differences struggle to develop and maintain social relationships. Research suggests that adults with exceptionalities can become isolated from society because of their challenges, which can cause social isolation and depression and other mental health struggles as they approach adulthood.
The Prism Project provides students with opportunities to learn appropriate social skills through performing arts and direct engagement with their peers. On Saturday afternoons children ages 6 to 18 learn the performing arts as a medium to explore and develop these social skills
