We believe this virtual competition will provide hope to those who were financially disenfranchised when the world stopped for COVID-19. Through partnerships with the clarinet world\u2019s top manufacturers, along with internationally-known clarinetist\/musicians on our three jury panels, we offer an outlet and hope to those professionals who have lost work.\u00a0<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clarinetists ages 25 through 40 years of age as of February 1, 2021. Applicants may apply to only one of the three categories (Klezmer, Jazz, or Classical) of the Competition.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0<i>We reserve the right to limit the number of applications. If the competition closes, it will be posted here.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Send an email with the subject \u201cClassical Application\u201d to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your name and age.<\/li>\n<li>A scan of your legal photo identification such as a state-issued driver\u2019s license\/ID card or passport that verifies age and identity.<\/li>\n<li>A statement that acknowledges what you were doing pre-COVID, the percentage of work lost (must be 50% or greater), and what, if anything you are doing now.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive a confirmation email from\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0acknowledging receipt of your application. Upon receipt, you will be sent a disclaimer that must be signed and returned within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in your application being disqualified.<\/li>\n<li>Upload your videos as described below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>VIDEO REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Audio only videos will not be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>Upload your video to YouTube and share the link in your application. Be sure the settings are set to UNLISTED.\u00a0\u00a0The video(s) must be close-up so that your fingers and face are visible.\u00a0 Your image should fill the screen as much as possible.\n<ul>\n<li>The picture must remain stationary without the use of multiple cameras.<\/li>\n<li>You may choose to upload separate video files for each movement.<\/li>\n<li>Any evidence of editing will result in disqualification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each video should be titled in the following format: ICCC, Full Name, Title (Name of Composer) included in the video (e.g. ICCC, Jane Doe, Hailstork). Please include all requested movements per piece in one video.<\/p>\n<p>Please\u00a0<b>do not\u00a0<\/b>submit all of your pieces as one compilation video.<\/p>\n<p>Your video must be made viewable in order to be adjudicated.
