We believe this virtual competition will provide hope to those who were financially disenfranchised when the world stopped for COVID-19. Through partnerships with the clarinet world\u2019s top manufacturers, along with internationally-known clarinetist\/musicians on our three jury panels, we offer an outlet and hope to those professionals who have lost work.\u00a0<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Clarinetists ages 25 through 40 years of age as of November 23, 2020. Applicants may apply to one of the three categories (Klezmer, Jazz, or Classical) of the Competition.<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS-WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Send an email with the subject \u201cKlezmer Application\u201d to <a href=\"mailto:ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com\">ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with the following:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your name and age.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A scan of your legal photo identification such as a state-issued driver&#8217;s license\/ID card or passport that verifies age and identity.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A statement that acknowledges what you were doing pre-COVID, the percentage of work lost (must be 50% or greater), and what, if anything you are doing now.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will receive a confirmation email from <\/span><a href=\"mailto:ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> acknowledging receipt of your application. Upon receipt, you will be sent a disclaimer that must be signed and returned within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in your application being disqualified.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upload your videos as described below.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>VIDEO REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Audio only videos will not be accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upload your video to YouTube and share the link in your application. Be sure the settings are set to PUBLIC. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0The video(s) must be close-up so that your fingers and face are visible.\u00a0 Your image should fill the screen as much as possible.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The picture must remain stationary without the use of multiple cameras.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You may choose to upload separate video files for each improvisation.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Any evidence of editing will result in disqualification.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each video should be titled in the following format: ICCC, Full Name, Title included in the video (e.g. ICCC, Jane Doe, Freilach).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you choose to include all of your pieces in one video, please label the video as follows: ICCC, Full Name (e.g. ICCC, Jane Doe).<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your video must be made public in order to be adjudicated.
