We believe this virtual competition will provide hope to those who were financially disenfranchised when the world stopped for COVID-19. Through partnerships with the clarinet world\u2019s top manufacturers, along with internationally-known clarinetist\/musicians on our three jury panels, we offer an outlet and hope to those professionals who have lost work.\u00a0<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clarinetists ages 25 through 40 years of age as of December 28, 2020. Applicants may apply to one of the three categories (Klezmer, Jazz, or Classical) of the Competition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bsu.edu\/iccc\/judges\/\">Judges<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"_3U2q6dcdZCrTrR_42Nxby JWNdg1hee9_Rz6bIGvG1c allowTextSelection\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Note:\u00a0We reserve the right to limit the number of applications. If the competition closes, it will be posted here.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Send an email with the subject \u201cJazz Application\u201d to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0with the following:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Your name and age.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">A scan of your legal photo identification such as a state-issued driver\u2019s license\/ID card or passport that verifies age and identity.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">A statement that acknowledges what you were doing pre-COVID, the percentage of work lost (must be 50% or greater), and what, if anything you are doing now.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">You will receive a confirmation email from\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">ICCoronaCompetition@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0acknowledging receipt of your application. Upon receipt, you will be sent a disclaimer that must be signed and returned within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in your application being disqualified.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Upload your videos as described below.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\"><strong>VIDEO REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Audio only videos will not be accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Upload your video to YouTube and share the link in your application. Be sure the settings are set to UNLISTED.\u00a0\u00a0The video(s) must be close-up so that your fingers and face are visible.\u00a0 Your image should fill the screen as much as possible.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">The picture must remain stationary without the use of multiple cameras.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">You may choose to upload separate video files for each improvisation.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Any evidence of editing will result in disqualification.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Each video should be titled in the following format: ICCC, Full Name, Title included in the video (e.g. ICCC, Jane Doe, Twilight).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">If you choose to include all of your pieces in one video, please label the video as follows: ICCC, Full Name (e.g. ICCC, Jane Doe).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Your video must be made unlisted or public in order to be adjudicated. It may be used at the sole discretion of the International Clarinetist Corona Competition for marketing purposes with no fees or royalties due to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The application deadline is on or before December 18, 2020, 11:59 pm (EST).\u00a0<b>No late applications accepted.<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">The top 3 prize-winning performances will be streamed live on December 28, 2020, at 2:00 PM (14:00) EST.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Jazz Repertoire Guidelines:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">The repertoire for the Jazz Category of the International Clarinetist Corona Competition has been generously contributed by select members of the Jury, to promote the study and performance of music composed by living jazz clarinetists.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif\">Choose three tunes&#8211;one from each of the following categories&#8211;featuring solo clarinet, over optional recorded accompaniment or live small combo (trio\/quartet), observing the social distancing recommendations set by your state\/country.
