By exploring these effects, the lab develops a tailored design solution to support your child\u2019s unique needs.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR VISIT:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We test acoustics, lighting, and color to access which environmental factors benefit the child the most<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>A parent or guardian will accompany their child into a room where the lighting and sound<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> will be adjusted<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Testing lasts 60-90 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>PARTICIPANTS:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Children, ages 2-14 years old, diagnosed with level one autism<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Parents receive a $40 gift card<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Children receive a book or a toy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>BY THE END OF THE STUDY:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Parents will be given a behavioral assessment of their child<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Parents will be given the best acoustics, lighting, and color selections for their child\u2019s environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Lab Director<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-280 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/bsu-wpe-sites.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/09\/05113213\/Kanakri_Shireen1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<strong>Shireen M.
