The session will both inform teachers about curricula and support development of MCS middle and high school teams that will compete in Indiana We the People competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inbarfoundation.org\/we-the-people-the-citizen-and-the-constitution-middle-and-high-school-state-finals-take-place-tuesday-and-wednesday\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Citizen and the Constitution<\/a> program for high, middle, and elementary school students teaches American constitutional democracy, the workings of government, and demonstrates the contemporary relevance of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We the People competitions simulate congressional hearings and allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of constitutional principles. Students evaluate, take, and defend positions on relevant historical and contemporary issues before a panel of judges.
