CREATE is an innovative approach to instruction, student learning and professional development in civics, that integrates American history, geography, government, and media literacy.<\/p>\n

CREATE builds on both cutting-edge approaches to civic learning, integrating, and adapting multiple evidence-based strategies and tracking and assessing the resultant outcomes to produce a scalable model for building the civic capacity of communities through their K12 schools.<\/p>\n

The CREATE Project is seeking a: <\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Student Assistant<\/strong> to assist faculty, staff, and other students in:
\n \u2022 Performing administrative duties as directed
\n \u2022 Maintaining online and physical files as directed
\n \u2022 Assisting in implementation of special events (may involve occasional evenings)
\n \u2022 Creating social media texts and images related to project activities and evaluating content strategies
\n \u2022 Conducting research as directed
\n \u2022 Conducting in-class observations using established guidelines at local middle and high schools<\/p>\n

2. Ball State Student Assistant for Curriculum <\/strong>to assist faculty, staff, and other students in:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Researching existing K-12 curricula (online or other formats) on Indiana\/Delaware County history and\/or other civics topics
\n \u2022 Working with the CREATE Student Assistant for Technology to add resources to the CREATE website and blog
\n \u2022 Performing administrative duties as directed
\n \u2022 Maintaining online and physical files as directed<\/p>\n

Work may also include:
\n \u2022 Supporting special events (may involve evenings)
\n \u2022 Conducting in-class observations using established guidelines at local middle and high schools<\/p>\n

3. Student Assistant for Technology<\/strong> to assist faculty, staff, and other students in:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Developing and maintaining the CREATE website
\n \u2022 Developing and maintaining the CREATE blog
\n \u2022 Other technology- and platform-related duties as directed
\n \u2022 Creating social media texts and images related to project activities and evaluating content strategies
\n \u2022 Performing administrative duties as directed
\n \u2022 Maintaining online and physical files as directed<\/p>\n
