CREATE is an innovative approach to instruction, student learning and professional development in civics, that integrates American history, geography, government, and media literacy.
CREATE builds on both cutting-edge approaches to civic learning, integrating, and adapting multiple evidence-based strategies and tracking and assessing the resultant outcomes to produce a scalable model for building the civic capacity of communities through their K12 schools.

The CREATE Project is seeking a:
1. Student Assistant to assist faculty, staff, and other students in:
• Performing administrative duties as directed
• Maintaining online and physical files as directed
• Assisting in implementation of special events (may involve occasional evenings)
• Creating social media texts and images related to project activities and evaluating content strategies
• Conducting research as directed
• Conducting in-class observations using established guidelines at local middle and high schools
2. Ball State Student Assistant for Curriculum to assist faculty, staff, and other students in:
• Researching existing K-12 curricula (online or other formats) on Indiana/Delaware County history and/or other civics topics
• Working with the CREATE Student Assistant for Technology to add resources to the CREATE website and blog
• Performing administrative duties as directed
• Maintaining online and physical files as directed
Work may also include:
• Supporting special events (may involve evenings)
• Conducting in-class observations using established guidelines at local middle and high schools
3. Student Assistant for Technology to assist faculty, staff, and other students in:
• Developing and maintaining the CREATE website
• Developing and maintaining the CREATE blog
• Other technology- and platform-related duties as directed
• Creating social media texts and images related to project activities and evaluating content strategies
• Performing administrative duties as directed
• Maintaining online and physical files as directed
