The 2024 Civic Learning Symposium Program

We are thrilled to announce the 2024 Civic Learning Symposium at Ball State University, scheduled for Friday, September 27th, and Saturday, September 28th. Hosted by the Center for Economic and Civic Learning (CECL), this year’s theme, Education, Dialogue, and Deliberation in Our Democracy, focuses on the vital role of open, constructive dialogue and thoughtful deliberation in addressing the challenges our democracy faces today.

Key Highlights

Keynote Speakers: We are excited to welcome Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski III and Harry Boyte, who will inspire meaningful discussions on democracy, civic education, and public leadership.

Civic Education Awards: We will honor individuals making significant contributions to civic education, including Heather Veatch, Allen Kidd, Elizabeth Rowray, and more.
