Strengthen civic education through collaboration, inquiry, and student-centered projects as Indiana prepares for America250.

Community of Practice (CoP) Participants

For teachers in Title I schools who want sustained professional learning, statewide collaboration, and support implementing a CREATE250-aligned civic project with students.

  • $1,000 stipend for full participation (Dec 2025–Sep 2026; paid Sep 2026)
  • Summer Civic Learning Academy participation
  • Mentoring support + statewide professional community
  • Eligibility for an expenses-paid Washington, D.C. civic immersion (selected participants)

Mentor Teachers (Instructional Leadership Role)

For experienced Title I educators ready to mentor colleagues, support inquiry-based, primary-source-driven civic instruction, and lead monthly collaboration with small groups of teachers.

  • $2,000 stipend for full participation and mentoring (paid by Aug 2025)
  • Monthly mentoring + statewide Communities of Practice
  • Access to curriculum resources and professional networks
  • Eligibility for an expenses-paid Washington, D.C. civic immersion (selected participants)
