Big Questions, Big Ideas: Addressing Addiction through Powerful, Local Partnerships

Wednesday April 19, 6pm -7pm

Muncie Public Library, Kennedy Branch

The Ball State Philosophy and Religious Studies Department in partnership with Muncie Public Library presents the Big Questions, Big Ideas series:

Learn to think critically about complex issues and questions and cultivate an awareness of the diversity of ideas in our world. This month’s topic is Addressing Addiction through Powerful, Local Partnerships, by Jean Marie Place and Jonel Thaller. How can partnerships be leveraged across institutional boundaries to spark change? We will discuss local examples of powerful partnerships pushing back against stigma, positively impacting local infrastructure, and initiating change in entrenched environments. In the context of a deadly opioid epidemic, it is more important than ever to understand how to effectively harness the power of community to save lives.

This is a free program, and everyone is welcome! A library card is not required to visit MPL or attend MPL programs.
